THE INTERVIEW PHASE:

This is by far the most important phase of the design process.  We value communication, we need to see what you see. 

Here we will gather the necessary information for the initial design of your project.  This can take place in person or by phone/email/fax correspondance. 

We encourage you to bring or supply all materials you have prepared along with any design requirements, wants or needs. 

Items to bring or supply us:  Square footage limits, covenants, room requirements, visual references, ideas of things to be incorporated into your home and any other pertinent information. 

THE DESIGN PHASE:

During this phase, we prepare a preliminary or conceptual design of a floor plan and front elevation based on the information obtained in the interview phase.  This includes the basic floorplan layout, size, shape, and initial design of the plan. 

THE DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASE:

During this crucial and final phase, the client and designer "fine tune" the preliminary design to the EXACT needs of the client.   

Take some time, look at the plans and make any changes.  This can be anything from window placement changes to kitchen layout changes, and everything in between.  Sometimes we find what seems great conceptually at first, often changes over time when visualized on paper.   This is the time to make those necessary changes. 

The client may use the final approved preliminary plan and elevation for study, estimating, or further development into construction documents.

NOTE:  If you decide to proceed with construction documents after finishing the concept design, the cost of the design only service will be credited towards the cost of the basic or full design service.
